A humanitarian aid ship docked at the Yemeni port of Mokha carrying tons of foodstuffs provided by the United Arab Emirates to the people of the West Coast, as part of the second phase of aid for the year 2020, which includes the districts of Al-Hawk, Al-Hali, Beit Al-Faqih, Al-Durhami and Al-Tuhayta in Al-Hudaydah Governorate.

The arrival of this ship comes as an extension of the relief bridge run by the United Arab Emirates through its humanitarian arm, the Red Crescent Authority, to the western coast of Yemen, as part of its continuous humanitarian efforts to provide relief to the affected people and the construction of service and development projects that exceeded 200 projects in the fields of health, education, water, electricity, environment and wealth The fish, which proceeded steadily according to a plan adopted by the wise leadership in the UAE, and which the Red Crescent Authority has embodied on the ground.

The second phase had been inaugurated by distributing 26 tons of integrated foodstuffs in the isolation of Al Majlis belonging to the Al Tuhayat District and the villages of Al Mazhar of Al Hawk District .. It is expected that this phase will witness the distribution of 300 tons of basic foodstuffs, benefiting approximately 42 thousand residents of the targeted areas. They suffer a scarcity of economic resources due to the difficult conditions in which they live.

It should be noted that the "Red Crescent Authority" had completed the first phase of the aid, from which nearly 44 thousand people benefited by distributing 6 thousand food baskets to the needy in the districts of Al-Khawkhah, Al-Durayhimi and Al-Tuhayta, in addition to poor families in the districts of Mawza, Al-Wazi'iyah and Al-Mokha in Taiz governorate. .

The people of the targeted Yemeni districts expressed their thanks to the leadership and people of the United Arab Emirates for the continuous tender and efforts it exerts in various humanitarian fields, especially the relief field, which alleviated the suffering of the affected Yemeni families ... praising the efforts of the Red Crescent Authority on the West Coast by running it Hundreds of convoys carrying thousands of tons of food and relief supplies and the establishment of development projects that had a great impact on alleviating the suffering of the people.

For their part, the local authorities raised their deepest thanks and gratitude to the UAE and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, for the assistance that has never stopped in order to stand by the Yemeni people.

It is worth noting that the authority had distributed during the year 2018 about / 185 / thousand food baskets in a hundred villages from the coast, benefiting one million and 295 thousand people, while in 2019 it distributed more than 192 thousand food baskets that included 140 villages along the western coast of Dhu al-Bab Southwest to Al Hawk district, northwest of the coast, benefiting one million and 344 thousand people.
