  According to a report by RIA Novosti on the 9th, the explosion occurred at Taimani Square in Kabul at about 7:30 local time on the 9th.

According to witnesses to the incident, the bomb exploded during Saleh’s convoy. As of now, 2 people have been killed and 7 injured. Saleh’s guards were among the victims.

  According to Russian Regnum news agency (Regnum) on the 9th, Saleh’s spokesperson issued a statement on the social platform Facebook that day that the attack was carried out against Afghan Vice President Saleh.

The statement also stated that “the enemy of Afghanistan tried to harm Amrullah Saleh again, but he was not harmed.”

  According to reports, at present, security forces have arrived at the scene, and no organization has claimed responsibility for the explosion.

  This bombing is not the first time Saleh has been attacked.

According to Reuters, Saleh was once targeted by the attack on July 28, 2019.

It was reported that Saleh was injured in the incident, but a spokesperson for the Afghan Ministry of Interior has since denied this statement.
