A British newspaper reported that the Saudi leadership has ordered a review of the activities of the Misk Foundation, which is headed by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.

The Financial Times, citing a Saudi official, said the decision was due to accusations made by the Misk Corporation of being involved in scandals.

The newspaper referred to what was reported by the US Department of Justice about the foundation and one of its senior officials in a lawsuit petition against two former Twitter employees and a third man whom it accused of spying for Saudi Arabia.

The newspaper said that the "Misk" Foundation and its former Secretary-General Badr Al-Asaker were listed as defendants - along with Mohammed bin Salman - in the lawsuit filed by the former Saudi security official, Saad Al-Jabri, in which he accuses them of seeking to assassinate him.

Saad al-Jabri - a former intelligence officer and advisor to the former crown prince, Prince Muhammad bin Nayef - had filed the case in Washington, prompting the Washington Federal Court to issue judicial summonses against bin Salman and 13 others, to respond to the charges within a maximum period of 21 days.
