It is the Swedish Transport Administration that measures the flow of traffic on the roads throughout the country.
In Jönköping, there is a measuring point on national road 31 outside Nässjö and a measuring point on national road 151 outside Värnamo.
At one week this spring, the decrease outside Nässjö was 30 percent compared with the same time last year.
- The large decline in April was largely due to travel that could be postponed, such as travel to buy rare goods or to visit relatives and friends, says Jonas Eliasson, accessibility director at the Swedish Transport Administration.

Still this autumn, traffic is less than the same period last year.
Week 35, the decrease was 9 percent at the measuring point outside Nässjö.
- A reasonable assumption is that it is the homework that means that there is still a reduction in traffic, says Jonas Eliasson.
