The official spokesman for the briefing, Dr. Omar Al-Hammadi, said: “71,334 new examinations were conducted, and 644 new cases of (Covid-19) disease were detected, bringing the total number of infections recorded in the country to 75,98 cases, and 410 recoveries were recorded. New from the virus, bringing the total number of recoveries in the country to 66,943 cases, and one death was recorded, bringing the number of deaths in the country to 391, while 7,764 patients are still receiving treatment according to the followed health protocols.

Al Hammadi added: “The UAE was able to achieve a global achievement in combating the virus, by reaching a high cure rate, which remained at 90%, and a mortality rate of 0.5%, which is among the lowest in the world, and the UAE also leads the world in total medical examinations compared to the number Population, as more than 7.5 million checks have been carried out since the start of the pandemic, ”indicating that the continuous efforts and positive results from different sectors require greater integration and responsibility from community members, whether they are citizens or residents.

Al-Hammadi continued: “One of the efforts of the health sector in detecting and investigating the causes of the spread of the virus is what has been monitored for cases in the community that caused the transmission of infection to others, including a person who had symptoms, and ignored the examination procedure or going to the health institution for detection and treatment, and did not adhere to the principle of spacing. Physical and preventive measures, and this person caused the transmission of infection to his wife, and with research and investigation, it was found that he transmitted infection to 45 people from members of three families, as a result of contact and gatherings, in addition to causing the death of a woman from his relatives in the ninth decade of her life, who was suffering from chronic diseases , Such as blood cancer, high blood pressure, and chronic kidney failure, which led to many complications, and severe lack of oxygen, as a result of her respiratory failure, and she required intensive care, as she died.

He pointed out that this documented case illustrates that these individual behaviors carry dangerous consequences, and cause the loss of our dearest people, and push us to repeat the necessity of commitment to avoid gatherings that may expose us and our families to infection.

He pointed out that the rate of recovery from the disease is large in relation to the number of injuries in the country, due to the modern and innovative treatment methods, the expansion of the scope of examinations, the availability of medical personnel and supplies, the increase in the capacity to receive cases, and the availability of the strategic stock of medicine.
