Sharjah Police arrested a gang of 11 people, of Asian nationalities, who stole 662 computers, worth about 2,400,000 dirhams, from a warehouse of an electronics company.

The Director of the Criminal Investigation Department, Colonel Omar Ahmed Abu Al-Zoud, said that a report received from a company specialized in the field of selling and trading computers, stating that 662 laptops were stolen from the company's warehouse in an industrial zone.

He added that a search and investigation team was formed to uncover the mystery of the accident, and investigations revealed that a gang consisting of 11 people carried out the crime in a "stealthy" manner to mislead the police forces and escape from their grasp, but the experiences of the investigation officers in dealing with the various events thwarted their plan, and it succeeded. Police are arresting them one by one, despite the lack of any concrete evidence at the scene of the accident.

Abu Al-Zoud clarified that the perpetrators deliberately stole two cars to use them to transport the stolen items, cut off the surveillance cameras in the warehouse, and stole the digital storage device for the data of the photographed material, in addition to carrying out the theft without leaving any evidence or fingerprints indicating their identity, and indicated that the theft was planned. It was organized starting from the prior monitoring of the warehouse, distributing roles, and reaching an agreement with a person to complete the sale of devices immediately after obtaining them, and escaping from the police.

Abu Al-Zoud added that the members of the search and investigation team uncovered the mystery of the crime with high techniques, as they analyzed and extrapolated the crime scene, and studied the criminal method, and the team was able to uncover the identity of the perpetrators and track their movements, the connection that binds them, and their roles in the case, and prepare a group of ambushes that affected them all. The stolen items were recovered, and the tools used in committing the crime were seized.

He praised the efficiency of the field work team in the administration, and their readiness to deal with all kinds of reports accurately and quickly, which enabled them to arrest all members of the gang and recover all the stolen items.

And he demanded the owners of commercial companies and warehouses to take caution and caution, and to secure warehouses that contain valuable goods and possessions, and to put guardianship over them, and to make sure to illuminate their façades, to prevent such crimes.

He warned the owners of companies and shops against getting involved in purchasing goods without obtaining invoices or bonds indicating their source, so as not to expose themselves to legal accountability as a result of carrying out such transactions.

He called on individuals to cooperate with the police to prevent the occurrence of crimes by reporting any suspicious behavior or behavior through the investigation number 80040, or the number 901 in non-emergency cases.
