Coronavirus: towards a shortening of the “fortnight” in France
The Minister of Health Olivier Véran announced that the Scientific Council was in favor of a shortening of the fortnight in France.

The Scientific Council set up by the French government has issued a "favorable" opinion to shorten to seven days the duration of isolation of people who test positive for coronavirus and contact cases, against fourteen currently, announced on Tuesday the Minister of Health Olivier Véran.

The fortnight not respected

This shortened period of isolation will promote "
better membership
" because today "
we see that a large number of French people do not respect the fortnight
", continued Olivier Véran, ensuring that this decision was not motivated by reasons of "
economic prioritization
".
The virus continues to circulate actively in France, where 68 departments out of 101 are classified in a situation of moderate or high vulnerability.
More than 4,000 new cases of Covid-19 have been recorded in the last 24 hours, a decrease compared to the previous three days, when new cases had risen between 7,000 and 9,000. The
