07 September 2020 Optimism on European stock exchanges, which closed with a sharp rise: Milan + 1.79% in line with Paris, Frankfurt + 2.01% and London shines at + 2.39%.

Investors do not seem intimidated by the hypothesis of a no-deal Brexit. 



Today the squares of the Old Continent have been "orphaned" by the Wall Street lighthouse, which in recent sessions had negatively weighed on the mood of investors due to the sharp correction in tech stocks.

The New York Stock Exchange is closed for Labor Day.



Nexi stock (+ 7%) takes center stage in Piazza Affari in the wake of rumors about a merger with Sia.

Outside the main basket, still record-breaking Mediaset (+ 9.32%) and Tiscali (+ 7.69%): the expectation of the single network and a possible reorganization in the media and telecommunication sector have an impact.



The euro was weak, below 1.1820 against the dollar.

And the pound is back under pressure, precisely because of the EU-London negotiations on Brexit.
