The cumulative corona19 confirmed in Spain has exceeded 500,000.
The Spanish Ministry of Health said on the 7th local time that the number of corona19 confirmed cases increased by 2,440 over the past 24 hours, totaling 52,549, according to AFP and Reuters.
Spain, which has the largest number of corona 19 confirmed cases in Europe, also earned the title of being the first country in Europe with more than 500,000 confirmed cases.
Spain seemed to have some control over the spread of the virus by imposing a strong containment order in the early days of the corona19 pandemic, but the spread was rekindled when it lifted measures in early June ahead of the summer vacation season.
In particular, thousands of new corona19 confirmed cases a day are steadily occurring in July, but the Spanish government believes that the situation is not as serious as last March.
In a briefing on the 3rd, Spain's Director of Disease Control, Fernando Simone, explained that although the number of confirmed cases has recently increased, many of the new cases are asymptomatic.
