Lavrov noted that there are significant differences in the approaches of Russia, Turkey and Iran to resolving the situation in Syria.

“You can observe these differences both through the statements of officials and through the situation on the ground.

But we, Turkey and Iran were united by a common desire to prevent in any case a repetition in Syria of what they did with Libya, what they did with Iraq, ”he stressed.

Lavrov also added that Russia, Turkey and Iran respect the sovereignty of Syria, observe the principle of non-interference in the internal affairs of the republic and consider it inadmissible to incite separatist sentiments in this country.

Earlier, the military of Russia and Turkey held a second joint training in Syria to repel an attack on a mechanized convoy while on patrol.
