Social media leaders shared a video of a beating incident on an Egyptian youth in Fahaheel, Kuwait.

The video, published by the Kuwaiti local newspaper "Inspection", on its Twitter page, shows some Kuwaiti youths severely beating Al-Masry, who works in an electronic game store in Fahaheel.

One of the assailants was keen to document the incident, which led activists to speculate that the attack was deliberate, especially since the assailants entered the store and had a small conversation with the worker, then directly attacked him, to drop him on the ground.

On the other hand, the Ministry of State for Immigration and Egyptians Abroad confirmed, yesterday, Sunday, that the video circulating about the attack on an Egyptian youth in the State of Kuwait in one of the shops is "fragmentary."

The Ministry of State for Immigration and Egyptians Abroad said in a statement that the circulating video "does not include all the details of the incident in which a clash occurred between the parties to the incident following the infringement."

The ministry stated that the incident was related to a quarrel over products in a children's toys store that ended with an "apology to the Egyptian citizen."

The ministry added that the two young men, who attacked the Egyptian youth at his workplace due to a quarrel, are under detention and investigation by the authorities.

The statement concluded that, in respect of the Egyptian citizen's request, his data will not be made public.
