The 27-year-old man is according to the police suspected of murder and attempted murder and was arrested early on Monday morning in the Selly Oak district.

Later on Sunday, police confirmed that a man had died and another seven people were injured in knife cuts at four different locations in central Birmingham.
For two of the injured, a man and a woman, the situation is judged to be serious but not life-threatening.
