Libyan activists on social media circulated pictures that they said were of gunmen from the Russian Wagner Company, as they wandered the streets of the city of "Hun" in the Jufra region, armed with light weapons, and were riding in military vehicles, accompanied by African mercenaries.

Local sources from "Hun" confirmed to Al-Jazeera that these photos were taken by hidden civilians in a commercial area in the city while Wagner gunmen were shopping in a number of stores.

Then they returned to station inside Al-Jafra Air Base.

The publication of these photos comes days after the Accord Forces announced that they had monitored the arrival of dozens of Wagner gunmen to the sites of the retired Major General Khalifa Haftar's forces in the Al-Jafra region, accompanied by weapons and equipment, and accompanied by Syrian and Yemeni mercenaries coming from (eastern Libya).

Mass grave

For its part, the Libyan Government of National Accord announced the discovery of a new mass grave in the city of Tarhuna, which included 5 unidentified bodies, which were buried during the control of the forces of retired Major General Khalifa Haftar over the city during the war, which was witnessed in areas south of Tripoli.

She said that the bodies were exhumed on Sunday from the cemetery, which were found in the "linkage project" in Tarhuna.

The Government of National Accord stated that the General Commission for the Tracing of Missing Persons continues its work to discover mass graves, and to recover and collect bodies and remains in (south of Tripoli) and the city of Tarhuna.
