He surely confused the departmental road with a racing circuit.

A young driver was intercepted on Saturday by the motorized peloton from Rennes to Goven (Ille-et-Vilaine) while he was traveling at 200 km / h on the RD 177, an axis however limited to 80 km / h.

To make matters worse for him, the individual was traveling under the influence of cannabis, said the Ille-et-Vilaine gendarmes on their Facebook page.

His license was immediately withdrawn and his car was seized.

At the end of August, 28 people had lost their lives in an accident on the roads of Ille-et-Vilaine, against 30 last year at the same period.

The number of serious accidents has also fallen, from 500 to 412, in particular due to the confinement period.
