SNCF graffiti wagons.

Toulouse is a city known for its graffiti.

Sometimes made legally on walls dedicated by references from this artistic discipline, sometimes in the middle of the night, without any authorization.

On July 9, a man was spotted by CCTV cameras bombing the wall of a building under construction in the city center.

Quickly arrested by the municipal police, he was tipsy.

He had however had time to sign his graffiti, a sign of recognition for followers of vandal art.

But that could cost him dearly.

After investigation, the police officers of the departmental direction of urban security realized that this man of 35, employee of a banking agency, was not at his first attempt.

He was even a fan of graffiti on SNCF wagons, parked in Matabiau station.

Where many generations of Toulouse graffiti artists have cut their teeth.

He, between 2014 and this year, would have repainted to his liking nearly 95 rolling stock of the SNCF, which filed a complaint.

95,000 euros in damages

Management estimates that these degradations would represent a loss of approximately 95,000 euros.

Not to mention the 2,000 euros to clean the walls tagged in July.

Summoned by the police, he was taken into police custody.

He has admitted the facts and should be tried soon.

Perhaps he should have plagiarized the signature of Futura 2000, Lenny McGurr's pseudonym.

During the first edition of Rose Béton, the festival of urban cultures, the SNCF provided this New York graffiti artist with a wagon for him to paint his characteristic graffiti.
