Professor Seo Gyeong-deok of Sungshin Women's University said on the 7th that "It turns out that the Japanese government is strengthening the promotion of'Takeshima' (the Japanese expression of Takeshima) and the'Sea of Japan' on the homepages of their respective embassy in each country." .

Prof. Seo, who received reports from overseas Korean netizens from each country, researched the homepages of Japanese embassy in 18 of the world's major 20 countries (G20). It appeared in 14 countries including Germany, France, China, India, Brazil and Australia.

The Japanese Embassy in Saudi Arabia and South Africa posted the Takeshima banner, and the Japanese Embassy in the United States posted the Sea of Japan banner.

During the G20, the Japanese Embassy in Canada did not have Takeshima and Sea of Japan banners.

Clicking on these banners leads to the homepage of the Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and compelling claims related to Dokdo, such as "Dokdo is clearly Japanese territory even in the light of historical facts" in about 10 foreign languages.

Professor Seo said, "I am concerned that netizens around the world will believe these claims. Recently, the Japanese government is strengthening the distortion of Dokdo online."
