Typhoon High Ship headed north into the sea west of Kyushu, Japan, a storm fell overnight in Kyushu.

In particular, as the storm area expanded widely, strong winds struck all over Kyushu.

In Nagasaki City, where the typhoon passed offshore, the strongest instantaneous wind speed of 59.4m per second was observed around 2 am, and 41.6m per second was recorded in Saga City in northern Kyushu.

In Kumamoto and other areas, which were heavily damaged by torrential rains in July, the river level has risen again due to overnight rain, exceeding the risk of flooding.

Landslide warnings have also been issued in areas where heavy rain damage has not been repaired.

In Nagasaki Goto City, a gust of wind broke the shelter window, injuring 4 residents, and in Kagoshima, a man in his 70s fell and injured severely in a strong wind.

Currently, orders for evacuation have been issued to 1.84 million residents of 7 prefectures across Kyushu.

Japan's disaster prevention authorities continue to call for caution, saying that damage to strong winds and heavy rain is expected in western Japan, including Kyushu, by the morning of today (7th).
