The bodies of two men killed by firearms discovered near Montauban

The bodies of two men, one 25 the other of 32 years old, were discovered this Sunday morning in the village of Montricoux, about twenty kilometers east of Montauban.

The youngest of the victims was found inside a house, the oldest on the path to the house, with a shotgun by her side.

It was the mother of one of the two young men who discovered the scene of the drama around 8 a.m. and notified the emergency services.

"She had heard a scuffle during the night," said

Laurent Czernik, the public prosecutor of Montauban, who went to the scene.

"According to the first testimonies and the first elements collected, the preferred hypothesis for the moment is that of the murder of the young man found inside, immediately followed by the suicide of the author", adds the magistrate.

Montricoux is located about twenty kilometers east of Montauban.

The investigation was entrusted to the Nègrepelisse gendarmerie brigade, supported by the Montauban research section.

Technical and scientific police specialists are continuing their investigations at the scene of the tragedy this afternoon.

They must receive reinforcement from their colleagues in Toulouse.
