Kuwait investigates first batch of celebrities and fascists in "money laundering case"

The Public Prosecution in Kuwait began the investigation today, Sunday, with the first batch of celebrities and fascists accused of inflating their assets and money laundering.

According to the Kuwaiti newspaper "Al-Qabas", the prosecution, through the Ministry of the Interior, informed the defendants yesterday, Saturday, of the necessity to come to a police station and obtain a paper of assignment to come to investigate the ballooning of their assets.

It is expected that the prosecution will witness marathon investigations with the defendants, especially since there are documents and transfers with which the five defendants will face as a first payment today.

"Al-Qabas" published the names of 8 famous "social media" and fascists. The prosecution began investigating them. They are Farah Al-Hadi, Halima Boland, Noha Nabil and her husband, Maryam Reda, Dana Al-Twairish, Yaqoub Bou Shehri, and Jamal Al-Najada.

The Kuwaiti newspaper, Al-Rai, revealed a few days ago, that the Public Prosecutor rejected all the grievances that were submitted by social media celebrities regarding the accusations against them, indicating that the majority of those who issued decisions to withhold their money complained of the decision.

It indicated that the complainants justified that the sources of their money are legitimate and that the decision to detain caused them great harm, but the grievances were rejected.
