The sides were represented by the Ministers of Defense of Romania and Ukraine, Nicolae Chuke and Andrei Taran.

“The agreement will help to strengthen bilateral cooperation by creating the necessary legal framework for institutions and companies in both states to develop joint projects in areas such as procurement, repair and modernization of weapons and military equipment, research in the military-technical field, exchange of information and experience in the field of standardization, codification and quality control of military equipment, ”the Romanian defense ministry said.

In July, Kiev announced that Ukraine and Turkey had agreed to work out the possibility of concluding an intergovernmental agreement on cooperation in the field of defense.
