Will the meeting scheduled for Monday between the Czech Republic and Scotland, counting for the League of Nations, take place?

For the Czech federation, it is postponed after two of its players have been placed in solitary confinement, while for UEFA, it is maintained.

"The national team will not play against Scotland on Monday due to the decision of the authorities and the health situation due to the coronavirus pandemic," the Czech Federation said on its Twitter account, regarding this match of the 2nd day of the League of Nations.

However, a UEFA spokesperson told AFP that the meeting "will go as planned".

This meeting, which was to be played in Olomouc (Czech Republic), counted for League B (equivalent of the 2nd division of the competition).

West Ham midfielder Tomas Soucek and AS Roma striker Patrik Schick did not appear in the game on Friday, which their country won 3-1 against Slovakia and counting for Matchday 1 of this competition, because they had been in contact with a member of the management of the Czech national team, tested positive for Covid-19 earlier in the week.

After their victory against Slovakia, the Czech team ceased all training, "with immediate effect", said the federation.

After being separated into small groups, all Czech players were re-tested.

In a statement, the Czech federation underlined "its concern that the virus could spread further".

For its part, the Scottish Federation (SFA) indicated on its Twitter account after its national team's draw (1-1) against Israel in Hampden on Friday evening that it "had taken note of information indicating that the Czech Republic had given up playing Monday's game ".

"We have not received any official notification from the Czech federation but have contacted UEFA," said the SFA.
