China News Agency, Kathmandu, September 5, Dhaka News: A fire broke out in a mosque in the Narayanganj district of central Bangladesh on the night of the 4th. At least 14 people have been killed and 23 injured.

The Bangladesh Yonhap News Agency reported that the fire accident occurred at about 20:45 on the 4th.

The believers had just finished a prayer at that time, and an air conditioner in the room failed and caused a fire.

Subsequently, 6 other air conditioners in the room also exploded, causing casualties.

Meng's "Daily Star" quoted local firefighters as saying that there is a gas pipe at the bottom of the mosque.

We suspect that there is a leak in the gas pipe, and because the mosque has to turn on the air conditioner, the windows are closed, causing gas to gather in the room.

The specific cause of the accident needs further investigation.

"Dhaka Tribune" reported that the 14 persons mentioned above all died at the Sheikh Hasina National Institute of Burns and Plastic Surgery in Dhaka region.

According to the person in charge of the hospital, there are still 23 wounded being treated.

Prime Minister Hasina of Bangladesh has instructed relevant departments to provide the best medical services to the injured.
