A new toll of the emerging corona virus in the world

The new Corona virus has killed at least 875,703 people in the world since the WHO office in China reported the outbreak of the disease at the end of December, according to a census prepared by Agence France-Presse based on official sources at 11:00 (GMT. ) Today.

More than 26,671,700 cases of the virus have been officially registered since the start of the outbreak, of whom, to date, at least 17,496,300 people have recovered.

The countries that recorded the most deaths in the last 24 hours are India (1,089 new deaths), the United States (998) and Brazil (888).

The United States is the country most affected by the number of deaths and injuries, with 187,777 deaths out of 6,202,053 injuries, according to the Johns Hopkins University census.

At least 2,283,454 people have recovered.

After the United States, the countries most affected by the epidemic are Brazil, which recorded 125,502 deaths out of 4,091,801 injuries, then India with 69,561 deaths (4,023,179 injuries), Mexico with 66,851 deaths (623,090 injuries) and Britain with 41,537 deaths (342,351 injuries).

Among the countries most affected, Peru is the country with the largest number of deaths relative to its population, with 90 deaths per 100,000 inhabitants, followed by Belgium (85), Spain (63), the United Kingdom (61) and Chile (60).

To date, China has officially counted (not counting Macau and Hong Kong) 4,634 deaths out of 85,112 injuries (10 new injuries between Friday and Saturday), while 80,284 people have recovered.

The Latin America and the Caribbean region, on Saturday, as of 11:00 GMT, counted 287,711 deaths out of 7,704,484 injuries.

As for Europe, it recorded 217,802 deaths out of 4,143,485 injuries, while the number of deaths announced in the United States and Canada together reached 196,957 (6,332,878 injuries).

Asia recorded 103,913 deaths (5,619,770 injuries), the Middle East 37,660 deaths (1,555,795 injuries), Africa 30,865 deaths (1,285,491 injuries), and Oceania 795 deaths (29,799 injuries).
