  According to reports, at 11 o'clock in the evening on September 2, a villa in Thessaloniki was "visited" by thieves.

The thieves pried open the safe in the villa and took away the contents.

  According to the owner of the villa, the safe contains 1 million euros in cash and a small amount of gold coins.

Since the villa happened to be empty at the time of the case and there was a huge amount of money in the safe, the authorities suspected that the thief might have an internal source of information and are now launching further investigations based on this.

  According to reports, when the thief entered the house, the owner of the villa received an anti-theft alarm via his mobile phone. However, the police failed to arrive in time before the thief escaped the scene.
