The reporter learned from the Red Cross Society of Zhejiang Province that on the same day, Shen Hualin, an active soldier in Yueqing, Wenzhou, Tao Zhen, a doctor from Wenzhou Lucheng, and Ni Fangwei, manager of Hangzhou Fuyang Ningbo Bank, also completed hematopoietic stem cell donations in Wenzhou and Hangzhou respectively.
As of September 4, the province has achieved 603 hematopoietic stem cell donations.
The completion of 4 donations in one day also set a record for the highest donation in a single day since the start of the donation work in the province.

Judging from the age distribution of hematopoietic stem cell donors in Zhejiang Province, most of the donors are middle-aged and young people. Among them, 31-35 years old accounted for the highest proportion at 138; 26-30 years old had 133 people, 18-25 year olds were 118 people.
In addition, men account for about 80% of donors.
It is understood that Zhejiang hematopoietic stem cell donation exceeded 600 cases and it was less than a year from the 500th donation in September 2019.
From the "100 cases in 10 years" at the beginning of the donation work to the "100 cases" in annual donations, the province's hematopoietic stem cell donation has entered a steady development track.
Data show that in the first eight months of China, the number of donations decreased by 9.4% compared with the same period, Zhejiang increased by 14 cases compared with the same period in 2019, an increase of 31.11%.
There are more than 90,000 volunteers for the storage of hematopoietic stem cells in this province, and the cumulative storage capacity utilization rate ranks among the top in China.
