It was on July 25 that the 57-year-old man in Karlskrona disappeared.

Two men in their 20s, who both deny the crime, are suspected of having murdered the man.

No tracks yet

In the police investigation, the search for the 57-year-old takes place in a large part of the Karlskrona archipelago, on land, on islands and at sea.

On Monday, the effort was stepped up in a massive collaboration around the clock between the police, the Coast Guard, the Navy and Missing People.

But no trace of the 57-year-old has yet been found.

- They have searched through planned areas so far.

When you search the archipelago, finds are made every day, but so far, as far as I know, they have not been involved in the investigation, says police spokesman Robert Loeffel.

Keep looking

On Friday, the Navy and Missing People ended their part of the operation for this time.

But the police are continuing the investigation with support from the Coast Guard.

- We continue the searches during the weekend and onwards.

We are taking a step back and planning for further searches, says Robert Loeffel.

What are the conditions for looking in the archipelago?

- There are always difficult circumstances with varying surfaces in the form of different kinds of vegetation and rocks.

Its a challenge.

But you always hope to find something and we continue to have that hope, says Robert Loeffel.
