The remote battle continues between Joe Biden and Donald Trump.

On Thursday, the Democratic candidate denounced Thursday the "underlying racism" which he said is eating away at the United States, while hammering out his "optimism" for the future after meeting with Jacob Blake, a seriously injured African-American by the police two weeks ago.

Donald Trump was in Pennsylvania, where he notably made fun of his opponent about wearing a mask.

It's time we come together as a nation to heal and address the challenges we face.

Taking the opposite of the security and dark message of his rival, Donald Trump, the former vice-president of Barack Obama affirmed that the country could transform this "inflection point" into "opportunity" for more "equality "And for" reconciliation ".

Meeting in a church

During a meeting in a church with residents of Kenosha, a city in the key state of Wisconsin recently shaken by riots, his sober, slow tone, behind his mask, also contrasted with the often fiery flights of the Republican president .

The former vice president and his wife Jill Biden met the family of Jacob Blake, 29, who had been hit by seven bullets fired at close range, in front of his children on August 23.

A filmed arrest which revived the historic protest movement against racism and police violence in the United States, and caused three nights of riots in Kenosha.

Still hospitalized, Jacob Blake is paralyzed from the feet to the waist.

“I had the opportunity to spend time with Jacob on the phone,” said Joe Biden.

“He said nothing could get the better of him.

Whether he can walk again or not, he will not give up ”.

Trump mocks Biden's mask

Two months before the presidential election of November 3, Joe Biden, 77, opens with this trip a new, more active phase of his campaign.

While the Democratic candidate had remained for weeks confined to his home in Wilmington, Delaware, then had limited his campaign trips to the region, to, he said, limit the risks of the spread of Covid-19, his rival Donald Trump, 74, was touring the United States.

The Republican President is not to be outdone, with a speech in Latrobe in Pennsylvania, another of those pivotal states which switch from one party to another.

“No crowds, no enthusiasm for Joe today.

Law and Order!

"Donald Trump tweeted, nicknamed his rival" Joe Hiden "(" Joe the stashed "), ironic about his confinement.

On the tarmac, he also mocked his opponent: “Have you ever seen a man wear a mask so often?

He never leaves him.

If I were a psychiatrist, I would say he has big problems ”

"I have never seen a man that liked a mask more ... If I was a psychiatrist, I would say this guy has some big issues."

The US president had visited Kenosha as early as Tuesday, but had not met the family or mentioned Jacob Blake's name, making the restoration of order the heart of his message.
