The Laval court sentenced a 19-year-old baby-sitter for sexual assault on a granddaughter he was keeping, to one year in prison, along with a five-year socio-judicial follow-up, this weekend, relates

The facts took place in July, in Coëvrons, in Mayenne.

The young man, who had just smoked a joint, had asked the 5-year-old girl, whom he was babysitting, to stroke him and had shown him how to do it, in the toilet.

He also asked her to give him a blowjob.

The mother having arrived earlier than expected, she had caught the babysitter assaulting her daughter.

The young man, who had already been involved in a similar case without conviction because he was a minor at the time, reports

, explained to the judges that he had had "an impulse" due "to the use of cannabis ”.

The court therefore finally sentenced him to one year in prison and 2,500 euros in damages to the family.

He is now registered with the perpetrators of sexual or violent offenses.
