- The work is going according to plan and the situation is stable, we expect that it will take two more weeks before we are finished, says Karin Medin, CEO of Söderenergi.

The plan is to transport fire-damaged material to Igelsta CHP plant where it is mixed with dry recycled wood which is then used to heat.

In this way, very little of the fire-damaged material is wasted.

- It is difficult to say at present how much has been destroyed because we can still use it.

But we have 7,000 tonnes of recycled wood on site and just over a thousand tonnes of it are damaged by fire, Karin Medin explains.

The routines are reviewed

Söderenergi will make an analysis assessment to see if there is anything to improve so it does not happen again.

The incident has also been reported to the county administrative board, which will investigate the routines.
