  This is another good news from the construction site of the Jakarta-Bandung high-speed railway after the No. 2 beam yard on the 1st and the No. 1 beam yard on the 2nd of this month. The construction has entered the critical stage, laying a solid foundation for the subsequent construction of the bridge deck and ballastless track.

On May 14, the Valini Tunnel of the Jakarta-Bandung High-speed Railway in Indonesia was completed, becoming the first through tunnel of the line, marking that the construction of Jakarta-Bandung High-speed Railway has entered a comprehensive speed-up phase.

  The box girder erection on the 3rd was completed by the No. 4 beam making yard of the second branch of the China Railway Yawan High-speed Railway Project Department.

This beam field is the birthplace of China's high-speed rail "overseas first beam" and the first "overseas smart beam field" built by China's high-speed rail.

The beam yard has fully realized the construction of standardization, mechanization, factoryization, and informationization, and undertook the prefabrication, erection and related scientific research and development tasks of the 978 box beam of the Yawan high-speed railway line.

  The 142.3-kilometer-long Jakarta-Bandung high-speed railway has 3 beam yards. Among them, the No. 1 beam yard was contracted by PowerChina to undertake the task of prefabricating, lifting and erecting 1017 box beams. The No. 2 beam yard undertook the task of 536-hole simply supported box girder; the No. 4 beam yard was built by China Railway, and it is the first overseas "smart beam yard" of China's high-speed rail "going out", and undertakes scientific research tasks related to 978 box beams.

  In order to ensure the smooth construction of the three beam yards, the Indonesia-China High-speed Railway Joint Venture, the Contractor Consortium, the Supervision and Consultation Consortium, and the local highway administration have previously conducted a safety assessment before the beam erection; Carried out a traffic simulation exercise for transporting and erecting beams; most of the technical and management personnel stranded in China in the early stage of the project “retrograde” and returned to the construction site, ensuring the safe and orderly progress of the resumption of work and production at the three beam farms during the epidemic.

  The Jakarta-Bandung High-speed Railway is China's "first order" of high-speed rail system, all elements, and entire production chain to go abroad. It is also a national strategic project in Indonesia and a landmark project of the "Belt and Road" initiative.

After it is completed and opened to traffic, the time from Jakarta to Bandung will be shortened from the current three hours to about 40 minutes.
