The new sports hall will house a restaurant, accommodation, training facilities and offices.
The building is expected to be completed around 2024.
Erik Orring does not want to reveal what the new house will cost.
- We have a preliminary figure, but I do not want to go out with it yet.
But it is a number of millions that we must get together in some way, he says.
The leisure committee is positive
The leisure committee's chairman Ari Leinonen (S) does not know about the six clubs' plans.
- First we have to have a dialogue and get it presented what has been said, he says.

Want to replace the artificial turf
The criticized artificial turf at Umeå energy arena is another thing that the clubs want to address.
But it will be paid by the municipality.
- A unanimous leisure committee will present a financing proposal to the City Council in October.

The six clubs that have merged are A3 Basket, IBK Dalen, Umeå FC, Umeå IK, Umeå BSKT and Thorengruppen.
