China News Service, September 3rd (Chen Jing, Gaoyan) Zhou Fenhui, a member of the sixth batch of "group-style" aid to Tibet medical team in Shanghai, and a doctor from the Shanghai First Maternity and Infant Health Hospital (hereinafter referred to as "One Women and Infants") in Xigaze, Tibet The Municipal People's Hospital completed two consecutive intrauterine fetal intervention operations, bringing creative treatment methods to the local area.

The reporter learned during an interview on the 3rd that neither of these two operations had a precedent in Tibet.

Tibet is China's border fortress, a beautiful pure land, but the medical conditions are relatively backward.

On the 1st, the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology of the People's Hospital of Xigaze City admitted a special case, a 35-year-old woman Zhuoma (a pseudonym) who was referred from the county hospital.

Zhou Fenhui found that the pregnant woman had a twin pregnancy, her abdomen was obviously swollen and not in line with her gestational age, and her abdominal distension was severe.

Doctor Zhou believes that pregnant women may have special complications of monochorionic twins.

The sixth batch of "group-style" aid to Tibet medical teams from Shanghai left Shanghai and entered Tibet.

Zhou Fenhui, Director of Obstetrics and Gynecology of Xigaze People's Hospital, Science Puch, and Director of Ultrasound Department Hou Yongzhi, organized a multidisciplinary consultation together. The results confirmed Dr. Zhou's previous judgment.

Zhou Fenhui said that if there is no intervention, the death rate of the two fetuses is as high as 90%, and pregnant women may also have premature rupture of membranes at any time.

If a large amount of amniotic fluid flows out instantly, it may induce abruption of the placenta and endanger life.

Pregnant women have a rapid onset and rapid development, and they do not have the conditions to be referred to the Mainland Fetal Medical Center for intrauterine treatment in a short time.

After discussing with Director General of Obstetrics and Gynecology Department and Director Basang, Zhou Fenhui decided to conduct the first ultrasound-guided amniotic fluid reduction surgery in Xigaze City People's Hospital to improve the compression symptoms of pregnant women and reduce uterine tension.

During the operation, the Shanghai expert used an ultrasound probe to accurately show the condition of the fetus in the uterus, and performed a precise positioning puncture, sucking a total of 2500 ml of amniotic fluid at a constant rate.

Zhou Fenhui, a maternal and child-assisted Tibetan doctor, performed the first local ultrasound-guided amniotic fluid reduction surgery at the Shigatse People’s Hospital.

According to Sun Luming, director of the Department of Maternal, Child and Fetal Medicine, ultrasound-guided rapid amniotic fluid reduction technology is one of the intrauterine interventions in fetal medicine. Its main function is to treat severe discomfort caused by acute polyhydramnios in pregnant women. It is a follow-up treatment plan. Plan to gain time and reduce the risk of serious obstetric complications for pregnant women.

It is understood that the Department of Maternal, Child and Fetal Medicine & Prenatal Diagnosis Center is the first Shanghai-level prenatal diagnosis center approved by the government in China and the first Shanghai-level prenatal diagnosis center approved by the government. It is the first in China to develop a number of new intrauterine treatment technologies. .

On the same day that twin pregnant women were successfully treated, Zhou Fenhui also combined with the standardized treatment of pregnancy-induced hypertension to successfully treat a severely ill pregnant woman with early-onset severe preeclampsia at 25 weeks' gestation.

Medical aid to Tibet not only requires blood transfusion, but also blood production.

Yang Xinchao, secretary of the Party Committee of a Maternity and Infant, told reporters: "A maternity and infant’s hospital provides services to the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology of the People’s Hospital of Xigaze, Tibet. At present, 5 doctors have continued to relay to help improve the comprehensiveness of the local obstetrics and gynecology department. Strength.” It is understood that during the two operations, Zhou Fenhui showed local doctors how to correctly scan the fetus and placenta by ultrasound, and how to monitor and cooperate during the puncture process to achieve precise puncture.

Medical staff participating in and observing the operation are very interested in the application of fetal medicine and intrauterine intervention technology in obstetric clinical practice.

Zhou Fenhui told reporters: "In the information age, the cognition of obstetricians and gynecologists must also break through the traditional knowledge boundaries. The Department of Gynecology and Obstetrics, Shigatse People's Hospital, as a rescue center for critically ill pregnant women in the western region, actively learns clinical guidelines and updates the knowledge structure. And the system is very important. The introduction of the relevant knowledge and technology of maternal-fetal medicine, I hope my experience can provide more useful'weapons' for medical staff in Xigaze."
