The Catalan newspaper "Sport" stated that since Suarez arrived in Barcelona in 2014, Messi was given his best partner ever, as he is a strong striker and scored many decisive goals that made him the third LaLiga goalscorer in Barcelona's history.
The newspaper said that the duo contribute an average of 83 goals annually, which will plunge the team into a real crisis in the event of its absence without finding a competent alternative.
The newspaper added that Messi, since 2014, has scored 280 goals for Barcelona, compared to 198 for Suarez, out of 902 goals scored by the entire team, meaning that the percentage of goals on Monday represents 53% (478 goals).
