The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation stressed the importance of informing UAE citizens wishing to travel about travel instructions and advice, and making sure to obtain the requirements and information on preventive measures against the emerging corona virus (Covid-19) in the desired country before traveling to it.

The Ministry has launched a specialized page for the Emirati traveler on its official website www.mofaic.gov.ae, explaining all the instructions and requirements necessary to enter each country, and any updates that may occur to them.

The page also shows the state of the world's countries receiving the country's citizens, the categories that are permitted to travel, the forms to be filled out, in addition to making sure of pre-examination procedures before traveling.

The Director of the Citizens Affairs Department at the Ministry, Abdulaziz Talib Al Habsi, confirmed that “launching this page is in line with the UAE’s efforts to make the air travel to and from the country safe, and that the health and safety of the country's citizens is a priority, by providing information on the preventive measures applied at the intended destination, and the procedures. Precaution that must be followed for those coming from abroad ».

He added that the Emirati citizen must follow the basic steps when planning travel, starting with visiting the ministry’s website www.mofaic.gov.ae to ensure that the destination country receives UAE citizens, then book tickets, and fulfill the requirements of the destination.

Al Habsi advised the citizens of the country to reflect a positive image of the UAE, by compliance with and adhering to the laws, instructions and preventive measures related to the "Covid-19" virus in the destination they go to, as they differ from one country to another, the most important of which is the quarantine period.

Al Habsi stressed that in the event that the Emirati citizen is infected with the new Corona virus (Covid-19), he must communicate directly with the nearest mission to the UAE, or by contacting the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation call center on the phone number 0097180044444, adding that the state’s mission It will coordinate with the local authorities to provide the best hospital for treatment, and the place of health isolation, and the citizen will bear the expenses related to treatment and isolation.

The Ministry affirmed the need to conduct a "PCR" examination before returning to the country no more than 96 hours, and for the result to be negative, as well as adherence to the regulations and instructions specified by the competent authorities in the country regarding dealing with the "Covid-19" pandemic.
