The brother has been interrogated three times and then told in detail what he knows about the double murder and how he feels that his brother is as a person.

In the first interrogation, which will be held at 8 in the morning on June 9, the brother will be heard because his own DNA profile matches the perpetrator's DNA profile.

He explains that he remembers that he himself was at work when he heard the news about the murders on Åsgatan.

In 2004, Daniel Nyqvist lived at home with his parents, he himself had moved away from home.

From the first interrogation record:

Interrogator Jan Staaf (JS): Could Daniel have committed this stabbing?

- No never.

JS: Why not then?

- Because he's so kind.

He has never shown violent tendencies.

JS: If it turns out that it was your brother who committed the crimes, what did he have to do on Åsgatan?

- I do not think my brother knows Åsgatan.

We have nothing to do with that area.

Family in shock

The brother tells in the second police interrogation that he "has been in a form of shock since the news" that his brother Daniel was suspected of the double murder.

When he found out about the matching DNA, he became desperate.

The brother again describes Daniel as calm, kind and caring:

"I can not grasp this, I have known my brother all my life and have largely never seen him angry."

The family members have since felt very bad and receive help for this.

Daniel Nyqvist has confessed to the murders.
