  At 8 o'clock on the 2nd, Typhoon Mesak’s center was located on the northern part of the East China Sea about 335 kilometers south of Jeju, South Korea. The maximum wind force near the center was 14 levels.

It is expected that "Mesaac" will move northeastward at a speed of about 25 kilometers per hour, and its intensity will gradually weaken. It will land on the southern coast of South Korea around midnight on the 2nd.

  Typhoon "Mesaq" formed in the ocean east of the Philippines on the afternoon of August 28, and strengthened to a super typhoon at 5 o'clock on September 1, becoming the first super typhoon this year.

According to expert analysis, Mesaac is huge, with a wind circle of about 300 kilometers in radius. Although it will not directly land on China's land, it will still deeply affect China.

"Mesaq" crossed the East China Sea with super typhoon and strong typhoon intensity, which set off turbulent waves. Marine operations and navigation are very dangerous. Zhoushan, Ningbo and eastern Shanghai will also be affected by wind and rain.

  Affected by the typhoon, it is expected that from September 2 to 3, there will be 7 to 10 meters of swell waves in the eastern East China Sea to the violent wave area, 4 to 6 meters in the west of the East China Sea to the violent wave area, and the coastal waters of northern Zhejiang will appear Large waves of 3 to 4 meters will appear, and large waves of 2.5 to 3.5 meters will appear in the coastal waters of Shanghai.

  In terms of storm surge, it is expected that there will be 30 to 90 cm of storm surge along the coast from Nantong, Jiangsu to Taizhou, Zhejiang.

The storm surge warning levels for Shanghai, Jiaxing, Ningbo and Zhoushan are blue.

  The National Ocean Forecasting Station reminded that the above-mentioned shore section is currently in the astronomical tide period, and relevant coastal departments are requested to make emergency preparations for storm surge protection.
