The updated information on the official website of the Chinese Embassy in Switzerland shows that Wang Shiting has assumed the post of Chinese Ambassador to Switzerland in August 2020.

  According to the resume published by the Chinese Embassy in Switzerland, Ambassador Wang Shiting graduated from Shandong Normal University, China Foreign Affairs College, George Washington University with a Bachelor of History, Bachelor of Laws, and Master of International Politics and Practice.

  He has worked in the African Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China, the Chinese Embassy in Zimbabwe, the Embassy in South Africa, the Embassy in Malawi, the Embassy in Ghana, and the Embassy in Switzerland.

In 2006, he served as Counselor of the Chinese Embassy in South Africa. In 2008, he was appointed as Counselor and Deputy Director-General of the African Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. In 2015, he was appointed as the Chinese Ambassador to Malawi.
