Danièle Obono claims to have lodged a complaint against the weekly

The far-right newspaper published a fictional text last week in which the rebellious French deputy is presented as a slave, in the context of the slave trade in 18th century Africa.

The text is accompanied by illustrations where the member of La France insoumise is made up as a slave.

A preliminary investigation had already been opened for "racist insults" after the publication Thursday in the weekly

Valeurs Actuelles

of this "political fiction", announced Monday the Paris prosecutor Rémy Heitz.

Danièle Obono, guest of Jean-Jacques Bourdin on RMC and BFMTV, this morning, therefore has his complaint as well.

“After thinking about it with my comrades and my lawyers, I decided to file a complaint.

I believe that through me, it is the millions of citizens that I represent who have been attacked, insulted, ”said the member for Paris.

Current Values: "I decided to file a complaint (...) It was not only me who was attacked and insulted (...) It concentrates all the fantasies of the extreme right on the great replacement"

"France, you love it or you leave it"

In a statement, Danièle Obono specified the reason for her complaint: "The published text sends me an unequivocal message that can be summarized as follows:" Shut up or go home ".

It makes me, basically, a stranger to France.

It is a recurring message addressed to immigrants, their children, their grandchildren: "France, you love it or you leave it".

"

This will include finding who is the author of this text, since it was signed under a pseudo.

"I hope that the prosecutor will conduct an investigation and that we know who is the author," added Danièle Obono in front of Jean-Jacques Bourdin.
