02 September 2020 Marco Tardelli will be in charge of the new Football Federation Technical Center which will be built in Rome on the grounds of the Salario Sport Village.

The former Juventus, Inter and National player therefore renounces his candidacy for the presidency of the Italian Footballers Association.

The 1982 world champion thus returns to the blue by putting his experience at the service of the youth national teams, who will have their headquarters.

Tardelli, now a lively commentator of RaiSport, will manage the construction of the new Center, as announced by number 1 of the FIGC who signed a protocol with the Municipality of Rome for the redevelopment of the plant.

Tardelli will play a key role in the management of the national youth teams, which will become at home at Salaria.

With Tardelli leaving the race for Aic, at the moment the only candidate for the succession of Damiano Tommasi remains Umberto Calcagno, who became president after the resignation of the former Roma player.
