02 September 2020A rookie coach against a bench veteran.

Serie A 202072021 begins with a generational clash that sees the Italian champion Juventus, coached by Andrea Pirlo, on his debut as a coach, and Claudio Ranieri's Sampdoria, a life spent coaching.

This is the first advance of the new championship on Saturday 19th September.

The other sees AC Milan and Bologna facing each other.

Napoli will be busy in Parma, Roma in Verona's home.

Fiorentina-Turin, Genoa-Crotone, Sassuolo-Cagliari and Udinese-Spezia complete the picture.

The big match Lazio-Atalanta has instead been postponed, due to the commitments of the Nerazzurri until the quarter-finals of the Champions League, and the match between the newly promoted Benevento of Pippo Inzaghi and Inter of Antonio Conte, fresh from the lost final of the Europa League.

While waiting to fix the dates of the recoveries, Inter will debut on the second day hosting Fiorentina, while Atalanta will visit Turin.

At the third clash between ambitious suitors: there is Lazio-Inter.

An uphill start for Juventus, therefore, who find Rome (at the Olimpico) and Naples (at the Stadium) on the second and third days.

An immediate test on the way to the tenth consecutive Scudetto of the bianconeri, who in the seventh round will face Lazio and in the tenth they will play the derby with Toro.

On the fourth day, on 18 October, after the break for the national teams, the Milan derby will be played at Inter.

At the sixth the derby of the Lanterna between Sampdoria and Genoa.

The derby of the Capital is instead set for the 18th matchday, January 17th.

Final days with a bang.

The Italian derby is set for the penultimate matchday (going to Inter on 17 January, returning to Juve on 23 May), while the last round places AC Milan and Atalanta up against (24 January and 23 May).

There are all the ingredients for an exciting championship.
