On August 23, the spokesperson of the Fatherland Party of the former Ukrainian Prime Minister Tymoshenko said that Tymoshenko was diagnosed with new coronary pneumonia, with a high fever of 39 degrees and a serious condition.
On the 25th, Tymoshenko’s spokesperson Marina Soroka said via social media that since the evening of the 24th, in accordance with the new coronary pneumonia treatment plan, Tymoshenko has been receiving intensive care treatment.
On September 2, Tymoshenko posted a message on the social media "Facebook" homepage: "The struggle with a serious illness in the past two weeks has changed the perception of reality... Today is finally out of a critical state, although it is still very close to recovery. Far, but now we can gradually return to normal life."

Tymoshenko also expressed gratitude to the doctor who treated her and all those who helped and supported her.
Tymoshenko, 59, is the first well-known politician in Ukraine to confirm the diagnosis.
She served as prime minister of Ukraine twice and ran for president three times.
