More than 34.3 billion rubles will be additionally directed to the regions to pay monthly benefits for children from 3 to 7 years old.

The corresponding order was signed by Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.

“The need for additional funding is associated with an increase in the number of children whose parents are eligible for payment.

There are already more than 3 million of them in Russia, ”the statement on the website of the Cabinet of Ministers said.

Recall that monthly allowances for low-income families with children aged three to seven were introduced by the decree of the President of Russia.

The payments are received by families whose income is less than one living wage per person.

In accordance with the established procedure, the amount of payments is 50% of the regional subsistence minimum for children.

Depending on the region, this amount is approximately 5.5 thousand rubles per child per month, the government explains.

You can make a payment by submitting an electronic application on the portal of public services, with a personal visit to the MFC or social security authorities.

Vladimir Putin came up with an initiative to introduce monthly payments for this category of Russian citizens during his message to the Federal Assembly on January 15, 2020.

In his speech, the head of state pointed out the circumstances, as a result of which families, who previously received payments from the state, find themselves in a difficult situation at the moment their children reach the age of three.

“Moreover, I understand very well that until the children have gone to school, it is often difficult for a mother to combine work and childcare.

We know very well from our children, from our grandchildren.

Children at this age, as they say, get acquainted with viruses, often get sick.

Mom can't go to work, ”the president pointed out.

The Russian leader also pointed out the need to make the procedure for receiving payments as convenient and simple as possible for citizens.

As noted in the Ministry of Labor, the granting of benefits began on June 1 for a period of just one year.

In this case, accruals are made from January 1, 2020.

This means that a family that submitted an application on June 1 will also receive funds for the first five months of 2020, if the child is already three years old by January 1.

If the child has reached this age in the period from January to June, then the funds are sent from the moment they reach three years before the payment is scheduled.

In early August, the government simplified the procedure for receiving benefits for children aged three to seven years.

According to the signed order, from November 1, 2020, citizens will not have to provide documents containing information about alimony to make payments - government agencies will receive this information through the system of interdepartmental electronic interaction.

Payments to health workers

In addition, on September 2, the Russian prime minister signed an order on the allocation of additional funds for payments to doctors, paramedics, nurses, ambulance drivers, as well as employees of social institutions who help patients diagnosed with coronavirus infection.

According to the data of the Russian government, almost 22 billion rubles will be allocated to support medical workers.

More than 321 million rubles will be spent on payments to employees of the centers of the Federal Medical and Biological Agency.

More than 1.8 billion rubles are allocated to employees of social institutions, where a special operating mode is in place to prevent the spread of COVID-19: nursing homes, boarding schools for the disabled.
