While the trial of the January 2015 attacks opens this Wednesday in Paris, the Tarbais were able to discover this morning anti-Islam inscriptions tagged on the facades of the great mosque.

"I am a coward" coming out of the mouth of a drawing of the prophet Muhammad, or even "Islam outside" and "Muhammad metastasized" were written in black on the walls.

Islamophobic degradations which were immediately condemned by the Minister of the Interior.

In a tweet, Gérald Darmanin said he was disgusted, indicating that these acts had “no place in our Republic”.

The mayor of the capital of the Hautes-Pyrénées, Gérard Trémège, said he was indignant "by these heinous acts of desecration", addressing his support to the Muslim community.

On this opening day of the trial of the attacks against #CharlieHebdo and #HyperCacher, I am outraged by these heinous acts of profanation.

I address all my thoughts and support to the Tarbes Muslim community, deeply affected this morning.

He went there, accompanied by the new prefect of the department, Rodrigue Furcy.

“Investigators are hard at work under the authority of the public prosecutor to identify the perpetrators as quickly as possible.

All the readings were taken this morning, which will allow these tags to be erased during the day, ”the latter said in a press release.
