A Grenobloise in absolute emergency after being struck by a tram

An accident between the tram and a pedestrian took place this Wednesday morning, shortly before 9 a.m., in the city center of Grenoble.

The victim, a young woman of 20, was transported by the Samu to the CHU of Grenoble in a state of absolute emergency, according to France 3. The emergency services needed more than an hour to get the victim out, who was was found stuck under this tram not far from the Alsace-Lorraine station.

According to the first elements transmitted by the police to France 3, the young woman would have crossed the street wearing headphones and she would not have reacted when the driver honked several times.

The latter was unable to brake in time and the tram therefore struck the victim.

She suffers from severe injuries, especially to the hip.

The accident caused disruptions this Wednesday morning on line E of the Grenoble tramway.
