Twenty-seven people, all poisoned with carbon monoxide, were hospitalized this weekend in Norway after a wild rave party.

Two individuals were implicated by the Norwegian police on Monday.

Up to 200 young people aged between 20 and 30 were gathered this Saturday evening in a condemned bunker in Oslo to participate in a clandestine party.

The event was discovered by accident when a police patrol came across a gang of young people late at night from Saturday to Sunday.

An investigation is underway

The police then found several people unconscious in the old bunker.

A total of 27 people including two police officers who entered the premises were hospitalized.

Five are judged to be in serious condition but out of danger.

All of them were probably poisoned by carbon monoxide given off by portable generators.

An investigation has been opened.

Two individuals are currently suspected for "unauthorized access and for having stayed in the bunker", authorities said.

“Police will consider whether more people should be involved in this case or whether the charges should be broadened.

"

According to the emergency services, the disaster was narrowly avoided: colorless and odorless, carbon monoxide can be fatal in high doses.
