Two explosions and rumors

Incidents of this kind are rather rare in the Emirates.

While images of the gutted restaurant circulated on social networks, the information office urged the population to "avoid spreading rumors",

Earlier Monday, in the neighboring emirate of Dubai, a person was killed in a restaurant explosion "following a gas leak," according to a civil defense spokesperson.

According to him, the fire which broke out on the spot was brought under control in half an hour.

Dubai police are continuing their investigation.
