"During September 2020, an increased fire hazard in forests is expected in 24 regions of the North Caucasus, Volga, Ural, Siberian and Far Eastern federal districts," RIA Novosti reports.

It is noted that in the North Caucasus Federal District the risk of fires exists in the eastern part of the Stavropol Territory, the entire territory of Chechnya, Ingushetia, North Ossetia-Alania, Dagestan, and the northern part of Kabardino-Balkaria.

In addition, the southern part of the Chelyabinsk region, the south of the Kurgan region are located in the "red zone" in the Urals Federal District;

in the Siberian Federal District - the southern part of the Altai Territory, the western and northern parts of the Altai Republic, the southern part of Khakassia, the southern part of the Irkutsk region.

Earlier, the Emergencies Ministry reported that the number of wildfires in Russia decreased by 39% in a week.
