• Social networks. Miguel Lago's joke about the Infanta Elena that turned against him: "I'm a son of a bitch"

The controversial video on Infanta Elena's "cerebral palsy" that comedian Miguel Lago posted on Twitter (and later deleted) continues to raise blisters.

In particular, this Tuesday has caused the rejection of the Association of Cerebral Paralytics of Alicante (APCA), responsible for the center to which Lago alluded and which is located in the municipality of El Campello.

Through a statement, the entity has expressed its outrage at the

images in which Lago posed before the indicative poster of the "Infanta Elena Cerebral Palsy Center"

, with the smiley of laughter and asking for maximum dissemination.

The association considers a

"lack of respect towards people with cerebral palsy"

the publication of the comedian and emphasizes that, although it was eliminated due to the barrage of reactions,

"the damage has already been done

.

"

According to those responsible for APCA "

we do not understand or defend this joke in bad taste

that affects both the group that it represents, and the Infanta Elena of which it makes

an easy joke that transgresses the limits

".

The Association of Cerebral Palsy of Alicante, has a professional career of

more than forty years dedicated to the rehabilitation and comprehensive care of people with cerebral palsy and related disabilities

.

As they explain, one of their missions is "to walk towards equality,

normalization and inclusion of the collective

."

Therefore, they consider that this type of videos, images or comments should not be tolerated.

"Non-discrimination and acceptance of diversity are maxims to become a just and evolved society," they add.

According to the entity's board of directors, "this person has proven to be ignorant of what people with cerebral palsy are and have very little respect for diversity."

For this reason, they demanded a "sincere apology" from the comedian "for his inappropriate attitude and demands that the rights of people with cerebral palsy be respected."
