Gargash discusses with Shabat the consolidation of cooperation areas between the UAE and Israel

The Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Dr. Anwar bin Muhammad Gargash, met today with Meir Bin Shabat, Adviser and Head of the Israeli National Security, who heads the Israeli delegation that visits the country.

They discussed the details of the delegation's visit, opportunities for bilateral cooperation, and developments in the region.

During the talks that took place in the General Office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, they also discussed enhancing opportunities for peace and stability, as His Excellency stressed that the UAE-Israeli Peace Treaty represents a positive step in advancing peace opportunities in the region and will establish solid bilateral relations in several areas: economic, scientific, technological, developmental and cultural. And tourism, in order to benefit the results of the two countries and the region in general.

He added that the treaty contributed to suspending Israel's annexation of the Palestinian territories and provided a historic opportunity to return to negotiations in our common endeavor to reach a sustainable peace that enhances the security and stability of the region.
