"While patrolling Bankova Street, police officers of the special forces regiment No. 2 noticed a suspicious man," the message says.

They noted that "during a superficial check" the man had an object that looked like a grenade.

“The investigative-operational group of the Pechersk police department, experts of the explosives service and dog handlers arrived at the scene,” the department added.

The dangerous object was seized by specialists, it will be sent for expert research.

On August 3, police officers detained a man threatening them with a grenade in the Ivano-Frankivsk region of Ukraine.
